The Arithmetic Scheme of Work – Standard One (Darasa la Kwanza) is a teaching plan that guides a teacher on how to teach basic mathematics (arithmetic) to young pupils over a term or year, following the syllabus from the Tanzania Institute of Education.

A Scheme of Work is a teacher’s plan that shows what will be taught, when it will be taught, and how it will be taught over a term or a whole year. It is a guide for teaching that breaks the syllabus into small, organized parts (topics and lessons).
