Biology is a branch of science which deals with the study of living things. A person who studies biology is called Biologist.
KINGDOM PLANTAE
Kingdom plantae is a kingdom in which all plants are grouped.
Plants: are multi-cellular eukaryotic organisms with ability to manufacture their own food by using energy from the sun through the process of photosynthesis.
DIVISION OF KINGDOM PLANTAE
Kingdom Plantae is made up of the following divisions:-
- Division bryophyta e.g. Moss plants.
- Division filicinophyta or pteridophyta. E.g. Fern plants.
- Division coniferophyta e.g. Pines, cypress
- Division angiospermophyta e.g. Maize, beans
