The University is located about 8 km east of the city centre, and is accessible by public transport, which is easily available from the city centre. The University of Dodoma (UDOM) was established in the year 2007.
It is located approximately 7 kilometers east of Dodoma city covering 6,000 hectares. It is the unique university in Tanzania because it is the largest in the country aiming at enrolling 40,000 students at a time when its infrastructures will be completed.
